The Trailer – After trawling the internet, looking at numerous catering magazines and what seemed like hundreds of phone calls, Angie located a firm in West Bromwich, the Black Country (amazingly where she was born!) who custom-built trailers to a very high standard. The trailer was built to Angie’s own design and layout so that it would meet all of today’s strict Health and Hygiene standards – while still allowing enough workspace to have a fish display cabinet and filleting area – quite a feat in a restricted space. All of the relevant authorities were contacted with regards to rates, planning, etc and after expecting mountains to climb we were amazed at the guidance and support offered by all. The trailer was transported down from the Midlands and proudly placed on the Quay, St Mawes where trading finally began!
Buy your fish safe in the knowledge that it is caught in a “low-impact fishery”, from a vessel which is worked efficiently to avoid unnecessary discards- creating a sustainable environment in which to “carry on in the future as we have in the past”.
